{"id":29305,"date":"2021-08-31T21:01:34","date_gmt":"2021-08-31T21:01:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/electricalconnection.com\/?post_type=product&#038;p=29305"},"modified":"2023-10-25T19:35:34","modified_gmt":"2023-10-25T19:35:34","slug":"isolator-indian-2","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/electricalconnection.com\/index.php\/product\/isolator-indian-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Isolator, Indian &#8211; for all 2 light arrays except Challenger \/ Pursuit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Please note this page is ONLY for Indian motorcycles from 2014+ with 2 lights on the rear fender (not including the license plate light or a trunk light).\u00a0 \u00a0Not for Challenger or Pursuit.\u00a0 Click here for those models.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why use an isolator?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Isolators quickly and correctly connect the lighting from your trailer, sidecar, trike, etc. while removing the electrical load from the motorcycle factory wiring, fuses, relays, computers, and electronics.<\/li>\n<li>Proper isolation of electrical loads will help you not void any factory warranty.<\/li>\n<li>Our design is a modular daisy chain of a separate sub-harness, modules, and the Isolator.<\/li>\n<li>The advantage is that you can accommodate a 5-wire trailer, a 4-wire trailer, or swap sub-harnesses should you sell your current bike.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Sub-Harnesses<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The sub-harness connects to your bike on one end and the Isolator on the other.<\/li>\n<li>This makes the connection \u201cPlug &amp; Play\u201d so you don\u2019t have to splice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Isolator<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The isolator is the main component.\u00a0 And ours is made in the USA.\u00a0 Tennessee to be exact.<\/li>\n<li>Our Isolators are epoxy potted for weather resistance using Omron components (Omron is an OEM supplier to almost all the major automotive and motorcycle manufacturers).<\/li>\n<li>We use the best component available for the job; in fact, Toyota uses the same component for power window switching.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>4 or 5 Wire Trailer<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If your trailer is a 4-wire setup (has combined brake and turn signals), you only need the <em>Sub-harness and Isolator.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>If your trailer is a 5-wire setup (has separate brake and turn signals), you will need the <em>Sub-Harness, 3-to-2 Converter, and the Isolator<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Please note this page is ONLY for Indian motorcycles from 2014+ with 2 lights on the rear fender (not including the license plate light or a trunk light).\u00a0 \u00a0Not for Challenger or Pursuit.\u00a0 Click here for those models.
